The World Future Council consists of 50 eminent global change-makers from governments, parliaments, civil society, academia, the arts and business. We work to pass on a healthy planet and just societies to our children and grandchildren with a focus on identifying and spreading effective, future-just policy solutions. The World Future Council was launched in 2007 by Jakob von Uexkull, Founder of the 'Alternative Nobel Prize'. It operates as an independent foundation under German law and finances its activities from donations.

The Worldconnectors Round Table aims to encourage the ambition and enhance the role of the Netherlands - in all its dimensions of society - as a key player in the global community of nations and peoples, with the urgent aim of working towards a just, sustainable, inclusive and peaceful world. Worldconnectors work in the business sector, NGO-sector, for the government, academic, media, the world of politics and we represent youth. Every time we meet we interconnect our worlds and try to connect those worlds to your world by discussing different themes and issues related to international cooperation and the global community. The Worldconnectors was launched by Ruud Lubbers, Dutch Minister of State and former UNHCR. The vision and work of the Round Table is based on the UN Millennium Declaration and the Earth Charter.
