null Ombudsman Attends Opening Ceremony of Kis-Balaton Visitor Centre

On 22 September 2020, Dr. Ákos Kozma attended the inauguration ceremony of the Kis-Balaton Visitor Centre in Keszthely-Fenékpuszta. At the opening ceremony, speeches were delivered – among others – by Deputy Prime Minister responsible for National Policy, Church Affairs and Nationalities Zsolt Semjén and Minister of Agriculture István Nagy.

The Commissioner for Fundamental Rights expressed his pleasure that a new location had been added to the choice of visitor centres that make the natural treasures accessible to everyone. Dr. Ákos Kozma has always considered nature conservation his priority task, and counts on the professional cooperation of the staff members of the national parks in their joint effort to safeguard the natural heritage of the Hungarian nation.

The nearly 1,000 m2 visitor centre presents the natural values of the specially protected Kis-Balaton (“Small” Balaton) area.
